What Is Engagement?

The Engagement feature allows your AI agent to proactively initiate conversations with users by displaying questions, reacting to scrolling or timing behaviour, and customizing content per page.
This helps convert passive visitors into active leads by offering help before they even ask.

Feature Overview

Conversation Starters

Conversation Starters are static, attention-grabbing questions shown directly on the page before any auto-engagement is triggered.
  • They are designed to look like CTA buttons, prompting users to start a conversation.
  • Think from the customer's point of view—what would they want to ask?

AI Engagement (Auto-Engage)

When enabled, AI Engagement allows the assistant to reach out to visitors automatically using smart timing and behaviour triggers.
  • The AI will rotate through three auto-generated engagement questions, showing one at a time to avoid overwhelming the visitor.
  • You can customize up to 3 questions per page depending on the context.
  • The engagement activates based on triggers like time on page and scroll depth (both adjustable).
  • This is ideal for reducing bounce rate and nudging unsure visitors into action.
